The Bennu Valve Technology includes the valve, which regulates the flow, and the software that defines the operating parameters to maximize production recovery:

The Bennu Valve

 

  • Installs on the wellhead in less than a day.
  • Regulates flow and pressure cycles to optimize production.
  • Offers quick installation without intervention in the well or production line.
  • Can optionally integrate with Bennu Connect, a cloud-based remote monitoring system that allows visualization of pressures, cycles, and production data.

The Optimization Software

 

The Bennu Valve operates in conjunction with the optimization software (Proprietary Multiphase Flow Algorithm) that:

 

  • Identifies candidate wells, selecting those best suited for improvement and with the highest production potential.

  • Defines the optimal opening and closing pressures to maximize the recovery of deferred production.

Mechanism that takes advantage of the natural pressure of the reservoir

Bennu Valve automates the opening and closing of the well, using the natural reservoir pressure to increase production. Each valve is custom calibrated to the well profile to reactivate its operation.

Simulations and calibrations

Each oil well has unique characteristics inherent to the reservoir conditions such as depth, viscosity, among many others.

Bennu Valve is preloaded with the operating pressures that maximize the production of the individual well.

Prior to installation, and with the well profile, our simulation software establishes the optimal operating cycle and the opening and closing range that maximizes fluid and gas displacement.

With optimal pressure settings, production increases quickly and efficiently.

Candidate wells

Bennu Valve has shown the best production optimization and automation results in the following well types:

Intermittent production

No supervision required because it operates with natural reservoir pressure.

Artificial lift

Wells with intermittent artificial lift that require automating the opening and closing process at the wellhead for each cycle.

Pipeline blockage

Wells with blockage in production tubing that still have potential to produce by natural flow.

Gas or condensate

Natural gas or condensate wells with strong aquifer and continuous choked reservoir

What happens internally?

The tool has two pressure sensors that control the alternate opening and closing of well production.

The high pressure sensor allows the well to open when the well has built up enough pressure to displace the fluid plug to the surface.

The low pressure sensor closes the well once the liquid plug is produced, so the well again restores pressure.

The cycle repeats itself.
